Lloyd Cole (born 31 January 1961) is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He was lead vocalist of Lloyd Cole and the Commotions from 1984 to 1989 and subsequently worked solo.
2014 – January – Lloyd Cole and the Leopards perform 4 UK shows. LC’s first full electric band shows since the early 2000’s with The Negatives. The solo tour resumes and continues all year. In October Standards is released in North America by Omnivore Recordings garnering a second wave of acclaim.

Jan. 2023 · Lloyd Cole will release a new album, ‘On Pain’, on 23rd June ’23 on the earMUSIC label. ‘On Pain’ is Lloyd’s twelfth album as a solo artist and features eight new Lloyd Cole songs, four of which are co-written by Commotions founding members Blair Cowan and Neil Clark, who also perform on the record.
