Theodor Meron, CMG (born 28 April 1930) is an American-Israeli lawyer and judge. He served as a judge of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), and the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (Mechanism).
Judge Meron has served four terms as President of the ICTY. In December 2011, he was elected a Judge of the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals (MICT), for which he serves his second term as President following his appointment by the U.N. Secretary-General.

Theodor Meron is a professor of law emeritus and a judicial fellow at the Institute for International Law and Justice. He is also a judge on the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and Rwanda.
Leading scholar of International Humanitarian Law, Human Rights and International Criminal law, Judge Meron is the author of a dozen books on International Law and of more than hundred articles including some of the books and articles that helped build the legal foundations for International Criminal Tribunals.
