William Randolph II (November 1, 1681—October 19, 1741), also known as William Randolph Jr. or Councillor Randolph, was an American planter and politician. He was the Treasurer of Virginia and the oldest child of William Randolph and Mary Isham.

William Randolph emigrated from Warwickshire to VA c. 1673. He was a forebear of Thomas Jefferson and Robert E. Lee. Randolph had seven sons, each of whom inherited an estate, the name of which was sometimes added to their own, such as Sir John Randolph of Tazewell.

Though the artist was able to give vivid enough color to the sitter's face, he poorly modulated the flesh tones. Wollaston was commissioned by the builder of Wilton to produce a portrait of his late father, William Randolph II (1681–1742), presumably from an image painted earlier.
4. Jan. 2009 · William Randolph first appears in Virginia records as witness to a deed on February 12, 1672. In 1674, he qualified for his first land patent by claiming headrights for importing twelve people.
