Patrick Cox (born 28 November 1952) is an Irish former Fine Gael politician, journalist and television current affairs presenter who served as President of the European Parliament from 2002 to 2004 and Leader of the European Liberal Democrat and Reform Party Group from 1998 to 2002.
Mr Pat Cox was born on 28 November 1952, in Dublin, Ireland. The former President of the European Parliament was appointed European Coordinator for the TEN-T Scandinavian-Mediterranean Corridor on 12 March 2014. Before, from 8 June 2010, he was the European Coordinator for the TEN-T Priority Project N° 1 Berlin-Palermo.
Pat COX wurde erstmalig 1989 in das Europäische Parlament gewählt. Er vertritt dort den Wahlkreis Munster in der Republik Irland. Ehe er die politische Laufbahn einschlug, war er als Dozent für Wirtschaftswissenschaften sowie als Journalist und Fernsehsprecher des irischen Fernsehens tätig.
