Overview. First elected as the Conservative MP for Faversham and Mid Kent in 2015, Helen Whately was appointed as the Minister of State in the Department of Health and Social Care by Rishi Sunak in October 2022. Helen Whately previously served in the government as the Exchequer Secretary at the Treasury up until 2022.
Helen is the Member of Parliament for Faversham and Mid Kent. She was elected in 2015 and returned with an increased majority in 2017 and 2019. Helen is also Minister of State in the Department for Health and Social Care.
