Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman (Urdu: محمد بلیغ الرحمن; born 21 December 1966) is a Pakistani politician who is the former Governor of Punjab, he served in office from 30 May 2022 till 10 May 2024. In 2022 he was appointed by President Arif Alvi, on advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

30. Mai 2022 · Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman took oath as Governor Punjab after President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi approved the summary of his appointment on May 30, 2022. Lahore High Court Chief Justice Muhammad Amir Bhatti administered the oath to him during a simple but dignified ceremony at the Governor’s House Lahore.
31. Mai 2022 · Baligh Ur Rehman appointed Punjab governor. After rejecting the summary twice, President Arif Alvi, earlier today, approved the appointment of Rehman as the governor.
The Governor of Punjab is the appointed head of state of the provincial government in Punjab, Pakistan. Although the Governor is the head of the province on paper, it is largely a ceremonial position; and the main powers lie with the Chief Minister of Punjab and Chief Secretary of Punjab .
