She has a long history of political and public service experience, including as Deputy Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Premier of the Eastern Cape, and speaker of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature.

16. März 2023 · The Public Service and Administration Minister is under investigation by the SIU for allegedly obtaining two degrees from the University of Fort Hare without a bridging degree. President Ramaphosa will wait for the outcome of the probe before taking action against her.
13. März 2023 · The EFF is calling for newly sworn-in Minister of Public Service and Administration Noxolo Kiviet to be blacklisted by all institutions of higher learning. The University of Fort Hare reported her to the SIU for allegedly having not met requirements to register for post-graduate degrees.
