  6. Hubert Lister Parker was born on 28 May 1900. He had a distinguished career in law and was made Lord Chief Justice in 1958. After his retirement in 1971 he he wrote the report of the Committee of privy counsellors on the authorized procedures for the interrogation of terrorist suspects in Northern Ireland
