Pak Hon-yong (Korean: 박헌영; Hanja: 朴憲永; 28 May 1900 – 18 December 1955 [citation needed]) was a Korean independence activist, politician, philosopher, communist activist and one of the main leaders of the Korean communist movement during Japan's colonial rule (1910–1945).
Pak Hon-yong (* 1900 in Sinyang-myeon, Provinz Chungcheongnam-do, damaliges Korea, heutiges Südkorea; † 18. Dezember 1955) war ein nordkoreanischer Politiker. Leben. Pak Hon-yong entstammte einer Familie der koreanischen Oberschicht im Südteil Koreas. 1919 schloss er seine Schulausbildung in Keijō ab.
Pak Hön-yöng was a popular and respected home leader of the Korean communists at the time of liberation from Japan in 1945. He formed the Korean People's Republic and the Korean National Democratic Front, but faced opposition from the American Military Government and the Soviet Union.
