Gianfranco Kardinal Ghirlanda SJ (* 5. Juli 1942 in Rom) ist ein italienischer römisch-katholischer Theologe, Jurist und Kirchenrechtler. Er ist seit 2023 Kardinalpatron des Malteserordens, zuvor er war von 2004 bis 2010 Rektor der Päpstlichen Universität Gregoriana in Rom.
Gianfranco Ghirlanda SJ (born 5 July 1942) is an Italian Catholic cardinal whose career has been closely associated with the Pontifical Gregorian University where he has taught since 1975, served as dean of the Faculty of Canon Law from 1995 to 2004, and led as rector from 2004 to 2010.
