Edmund Ætheling (born 1016 or 1017, died before 1057) was a son of Edmund Ironside and his wife Ealdgyth. Edmund Ironside briefly ruled as king of England following the death of his father Æthelred the Unready in April 1016.

Edgar Atheling, the last surviving male member of the ancient Royal House of Wessex, was born in Hungary circa 1051. Edgar's father, 'Edward the Exile' was the eldest son of Edmund II known as 'Ironside', and grandson of Ethelred II 'the Redeless'. Edmund reigned briefly as King of England from April to November of 1016.
