Prince Edward, Duke of Kent (Edward George Nicholas Paul Patrick; born 9 October 1935) is a member of the British royal family. The elder son of Prince George, Duke of Kent, and Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark, he is a grandson of George V, nephew of Edward VIII and George VI, and first cousin of Elizabeth II.

Juni 1961 heiratete sie Prince Edward, 2. Duke of Kent, den ältesten Sohn von Prince George, 1. Duke of Kent und Princess Marina, in York Minster. Die Duchess hatte den Duke 1956 in Catterick kennengelernt, als dieser dort als Soldat stationiert war, und sich im März 1961 mit ihm verlobt. Der Duke und die Duchess of Kent haben drei Kinder:

He is older brother to Prince Michael of Kent and Princess Alexandra, and is first cousin to both Queen Elizabeth II and The Duke of Edinburgh.
