17. Sept. 2023 · Princess Zahra Aga Khan and Uganda’s First Lady Janet Museveni launched the construction of the Aga Khan University’s Kampala campus on Thursday, April 27, 2023, marking the start of an exciting new chapter in its history, as the University establishes a long-term future in Uganda.
Princess Zahra, the eldest child of His Highness the Aga Khan, is on a six-day visit to Kenya to attend the global convocation ceremony of the Aga Khan University and to visit AKDN projects. She met with President Ruto and First Lady Ruto to discuss the development partnership between AKDN and Kenya.
