Douglas Carl Engelbart (January 30, 1925 – July 2, 2013) was an American engineer, inventor, and a pioneer in many aspects of computer science.
Douglas Engelbart (1925–2013) heißt der Anführer dieser Revolution. Er spricht nicht zu einer aufgepeitschten Menge, sondern vor einem Fachpublikum; sitzt an einem Schreibtisch auf einer Bühne, vor sich eine Tastatur, mit einem Computer verbunden. Computermaus ist Engelbarts wichtigstes Werkzeug.
Douglas Engelbart was born in Portland, Oregon, in 1925 and holds a BS in electrical engineering from Oregon State University (1948) and an MS (1953) and PhD (1955), also in electrical engineering, from UC Berkeley.
