29. März 2022 · Between 1894 and 1908, Andries Bonger (friend of the van Gogh brothers and brother of Jo, wife of Theo van Gogh) assembled an impressive collection of artworks by Redon, most of which are housed at the Van Gogh Museum.

Andries Bonger, brother of Jo, met Theo van Gogh in a Dutch expatriates club in Paris in 1881. They became close friends and eventually shared lodgings together in Paris. It was through Andries that Theo met his future wife, Jo. Andries remained good friends with Theo until his Theo's death in 1891.
