Manuel Vázquez Montalbán (Barcelona, España, 14 de junio de 1939 - Bangkok, Tailandia, 18 de octubre de 2003) fue un escritor español conocido sobre todo por sus novelas protagonizadas por el detective Pepe Carvalho.
Biografía de Manuel Vázquez Montalbán. Escritor y periodista español, Manuel Vázquez Montalbán se licenció en Filosofía y Letras en la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona y estudió Periodismo en la Escuela Oficial de Barcelona, licenciándose en la de Madrid.
In 1991 he was awarded the Premio Nacional de Narrativa and in 1995 the Premio Nacional de las Letras Españolas. Manuel Vazquez Montalbán’s personal collection and a large part of his library are available at the Biblioteca de Catalunya thanks to a donation made by his family in 2016.
