Daniel Licht (1956/1957 – August 2, 2017) was an American soundtrack composer and musician, best known for writing the score of Showtime TV drama series Dexter . Life and career. Licht grew up in suburban Detroit and attended the Roeper School, as well as summer school at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

4. Aug. 2017 · Veteran video game, movie, and television composer Daniel Licht has passed away at the age of 60 after battling with cancer. Variety broke the news earlier today. Licht was perhaps best known in the games industry for scoring Dishonored and its sequel.
