Eine Shooting Star Candle zeichnet aus, dass ihr Körper relativ klein ist und sich innerhalb der durch die Schatten (auch Docht genannt) dargestellten Preismaxima im unteren Teil wiederfindet. Das obere Ende des Körpers und der Höchstpreis der Kerze liegen demnach eher weit voneinander entfernt.
