20. Nov. 2001 · Marie Anett biography. Marie-Anett Mey was born on the 3rd June 1971 in Paris, France. She has both nationalities : German and French. After taking part to Darkness in 1994, she became Fun Factory 's official female vocalist in 1995, replacing on stage the studio singer Balca.
Before their third single release "Close to You" in late 1993, the group reported that lead singer Balca Tözün had been replaced with Marie-Anett Mey, an entertainer from Paris, France. "Close to You" became their first chart success, peaking at number 1 on the Canadian Dance chart.
