   Im Jahre 1955 reiste Orbison mit seiner Band nach Dallas, um dort den Titel Ooby Dooby, geschrieben von seinen beiden Studienkollegen Wade und Dick, bei Columbia Records vorzuspielen. Columbia gefiel der Titel, jedoch ließen sie Sid King and the Five Strings den Titel aufnehmen.
