Almo Sounds was a record label which was started in 1994 by Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss after they sold A&M Records to PolyGram. The intent for the label was to recreate the initial concept of A&M Records as a small, "boutique" label.

Almo Sounds had two Grammy® nominations for Album of the Year and Best Rock Album with Version 2.0 by Garbage. ALMO Sounds was a small "independent label in a dying business," said Jerry Moss. He realized Version 2.0 had to sell 10 million copies internationally for ALMO Sounds to survive.
