Das 2. Buch Mose, hebräisch שְׁמוֹת Schemot, auf altgriechisch Ἔξοδος Èxodos beziehungsweise latinisiert Exodus genannt, ist das zweite Buch der Tora und des jüdischen Tanach wie auch des christlichen Alten Testaments und damit das zweite Buch der beiden Fassungen des biblischen Kanons.
Der Auszug aus Ägypten oder der Exodus ( latinisiert von altgriechisch Ἔξοδος ( f. sg. ), „Auszug“) ist die im Buch Exodus Kapitel 1–15 aufgeschriebene Erzählung von der Rettung der Israeliten aus der Sklaverei des Pharaos Ägyptens.
