Angus Boyd „Gus“ Dudgeon (* 30. September 1942 in Woking, Surrey; † 21. 23. Juli 2002 · Gus Dudgeon, who worked on recordings by Elton John, David Bowie, XTC and numerous others, died in a car accident in 2002. He was known for his work on John's classic Seventies albums, such as Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy.

Hintergrund. Das Album wurde mit Gus Dudgeon in den Wisseloord Studios, Hilversum, den CTS Studios, London sowie The SOL, Cookham eingespielt. Die Aufnahmen fanden im Januar 1985 sowie von Januar – Februar und Mai – September 1986 statt, es wurden für das Album auch Songs aus den Sessions von Ice on Fire verwendet.
