The folklore of Ireland includes banshees, fairies, leprechauns and other mythological creatures, and was typically shared orally by people gathering around, sharing stories.

Irische Musik. Traditionelle irische Musik ist unter der Bezeichnung Irish Folk weltbekannt. Im 17. Jahrhundert entstanden auf der grünen Insel zunächst rhythmische Musikstücke, die ohne instrumentale Begleitung gesungen wurden. Instrumente zur Begleitung kamen bei der irischen Musik erst ab dem 18. Jahrhundert zum Einsatz.
