Liu Xuan ( simplified Chinese: 刘璇; traditional Chinese: 劉璇; pinyin: Liú Xuán; born August 12, 1979) is a former Chinese artistic gymnast. She competed in the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games and won two Olympic medals, including gold on the balance beam in 2000. She was born in Changsha, Hunan .

Liu Xuan was born in Changsha, the capital city of Central China's Hunan Province on March 12, 1979. Starting to practice gymnastics at the age of five, Liu Xun entered the Hunan provincial team in 1987 and became a member of the national team five years later, and in that year she claimed the women's uneven bars title in the National Gymnastics Championships.
Liu Xuan is a gymnast who has competed for China. She competed at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympic Games. Liu's major Olympic success transpired in 2000 when she became the first Chinese gymnast to win the gold medal on the women's balance beam over the Russian duo Ekaterina Lobazniouk and Elena Prodounova.
