  2. A special feature of life for all pupils at Mill Hill School is their membership of a House. There are eight Day Houses in the school and four Boarding Houses – each House has an average of 20 pupils in a year group. The Housemaster/mistress is the point of contact and a figure of prime.

  4. History of the School. Mill Hill School is situated on The Ridgeway, an ancient trackway used and adapted during the past 2000 years by various settlers including the Romans, Saxons, Danes and Normans.

  5. Now the Headmaster’s House of Mill Hill School. The oldest part dates from 1590 with some 17th century features – the house being completely restored in 1912. The building is reputed to be the oldest continuously inhabited house in (what was) Middlesex.
