“In 1972, I wrote ‘ The Carlsberg Special (Pianos Demolished Phone 021 373 4472)’ which was the B-side to the first Wizzard single, ‘ Ball Park Incident’,” he tells me. “It sold more than 250,000 copies, as they did in those days, and it was a harpsichord instrumental, which was quite unusual.”

In 1972 Bill wrote the B side of the first WIZZARD single, Ball Park Incident, which sold over 250,000 copies. The original title was to be The Light Fantastic, but Roy wasn’t so keen, as there was a local Birmingham band of the same name.
One year later Bill Hunt became more and more involved with Slade as their song contributor, with the first result being two Dave Hill / Bill Hunt compositions called "Red Hot" and "Lay Your Love On The Line" which were recorded by Slade and used as B-sides for their two singles lifted from their 1991 album "Wall Of Hits".
Bill wrote the B side (The Carlsberg Special) of the very first Wizzard single, Ball Park Incident in 1972 and this is his follow up. We think that the world has waited long enough; so here’s something to celebrate the occasion.”
