The fourth season of Canada's Drag Race was unofficially announced on October 19, 2022, when its casting website opened for auditions. However, the website was deactivated shortly after. On November 1, 2022, it was announced by Canada's Drag Race via social media that casting was officially open, with a deadline of November 21, 2022.
The cast of Season 4 was officially announced on October 18, 2023, along with a premiere date of November 16, 2023 for the nine episode season.

•This season is the first season of any RuPaul's Drag Race franchise to have the Snatch Game include the same character more than once, with both Kitten Kaboodle and Nearah Nuff portraying Jennifer Coolidge.
•Oddly enough, both Jaymes Mansfield and DeeDee Marié Holliday portrayed her in RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars (Season 8) and Drag Race Philippines (Season 2), respectively, also in the same year.
