The Menace is the second and final studio album by English rock band Elastica, released in the UK via Deceptive Records on April 3, 2000, and internationally on August 22, 2000 through Atlantic Records.

Im selben Jahr kam es erstmals wieder zu Live-Auftritten wie beim Reading Festival und dem Festival Internacional de Benicàssim. 2000 erschien das zweite Album The Menace, auf dem Mark E. Smith von The Fall mitwirkte. Es konnte jedoch nicht mehr an den großen Erfolg des Erstlings anknüpfen und erreichte in den UK-Charts nur Platz 24.

Their debut album Elastica (1995) was an immediate success and broke records for the fastest-selling debut album in the UK; the album also found success in the United States and produced the band's highest-charting US Hot 100 hit, "Connection".
