Kenyon College ( / ˈkɛnjən / KEN-yən) is a private liberal arts college in Gambier, Ohio, United States. It was founded in 1824 by Episcopal Bishop Philander Chase. It is the oldest private institution of higher education in the state of Ohio and enrolls approximately 1,800 undergraduate students.
Two students win prestigious Goldwater Scholarships, continuing the College’s run of success with the award for undergraduate research. Kenyon Named Top Fulbright Producer Again The College has been honored for the number of students selected for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program for the 13th time since 2009.
We are a community of nearly 1750 students. Our curriculum is both wide and deep — we offer 50 majors, minors and concentrations, plus the option to double major or design your own. We lead all NCAA Division III institutions with 61 national championship trophies. We're also ranked second in the country for producing NCAA Postgraduate Scholars.
