During their eighth grade year, students may apply to be part of the award-winning Poseidon Academyprogram. Poseidon refers to itself as a “school within a school”. According to Coach Chad Kavanaugh, this has been the best season for the Mariners in the history of Mar Vista girls water polo. Currently they are the no. 1 seed in the CIF finals, division II.
