Rudolf Walter Wanderone ( né Rudolf Walter Wanderon Jr.; January 19, 1913 – January 15, 1996), [1] [2] commonly known as Minnesota Fats, was an American professional pool player.
Minnesota Fats, or George Hegerman, is a fictional pool hustler created by American novelist Walter Tevis. The character appears in Tevis' novels The Hustler (1959) and The Color of Money (1984). Jackie Gleason portrayed him in the 1961 film adaptation of The Hustler.
