Miss Porter's School (MPS) is a private college preparatory school for girls founded in 1843 in Farmington, Connecticut. The school draws students from many of the fifty U.S. states, as well as from abroad. International students comprised 14% in the 2017–2018 year. The average class size was 10 students in 2017.

Miss Porter’s School campus is part of the Town of Farmington’s Historic District in Connecticut, and the land on which we sit has a rich and remarkable history. Originally inhabited by the indigenous Tunxis tribe , colonists migrated to the area around 1634.
We believe tuition costs should not be an obstacle in educating young women. We offer need-based financial aid, merit scholarships and payment plans to meet the cost of a Porter’s education. We work closely with all families through the entire financial aid process with respect to individual family circumstances.
