The Dave Clark Five, also known as the DC5, were an English rock and roll band formed in 1958 in Tottenham, London. Drummer Dave Clark served as the group's leader, producer and co-songwriter.

Just two weeks later, On March 10th, The Dave Clark Five was inducted into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame by actor Tom Hanks. In attendance with the three surviving members of the band were the families of Lenny Davidson, Rick Huxley and Denis Payton.
In 1964, the Dave Clark Five (aka the DC5) helped spearhead the British invasion of popular rock n' roll in the United States (along with the Beatles) that changed the face of rock music in the states forever.
For a period in the mid-Sixties, the Dave Clark Five was the dominant British Invasion band. With fifteen consecutive Top 40 singles, they could always be counted on for poppy, danceable hits.
