His writing skills are as sharp as ever, and he has no plans to retire. “I’m trying to book Symphony Hall in Boston for my 100 th birthday,” he says. “It falls on a Saturday. It’ll be February 28 th, 2041.
We spoke with Tom Rush, who has a brand new album that’s the equal of any he made for Prestige, Elektra and Columbia. Not only a renowned singer-songwriter in his own right, Tom Rush helped popularize peers like Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and Jackson Browne.
