Ellicottville is a community located in the Southern Tier of Western New York in the foothills of the Allegany Mountains. It is best known for Ski Resorts - Holiday Valley and Holimont; however, it is also a wonderful year-round destination and a great place to live.
Get around. Within the village of Ellicottville (downtown), you do not need a car, as the village is very compact and everybody walks. Everything you want to see or do is on or near Washington Street, the main thoroughfare. However, if you are going from town to the ski resorts, you will need a car.
