Quchan (Persian: قوچان; pronounced [quˈtʃɑːn, ɢoˈtʃɒːn]) is a city in the Central District of Quchan County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.
Ghutschan, in englischer Transkription Quchan ist die Hauptstadt des Verwaltungsbezirk Ghutschan in der Razavi-Chorasan. 2016 hatte die Stadt ca. 102.000 Einwohner. Die Stadt liegt etwa 125 Kilometer nordwestlich der Provinzhauptstadt Mashhad im Nordosten des Iran.
Quchan (or Ghoochan) is located in the north of the province and in the neighborhood of the Republic of Turkeministan. Due to its strategic position it controls commercial traffic in the way of custom regulations as well as passengers within its common border with the Republic of Turkeministan.

7. Juli 2016 · Der Atrak entspringt im Kopet-Dag-Gebirge in der Provinz Razavi-Chorasan im Nordosten des Iran. Am Oberlauf wird der Fluss vom Tabarak-Damm aufgestaut. Der Atrak fließt in überwiegend westlicher Richtung in die Provinz Nord-Chorasan. Er passiert dabei die Städte Qutschan und Shirwan.
