Rick Friedberg (born March 11, 1944) is an American film and television director, screenwriter and producer, best known for his work with Leslie Nielsen. He is also the author of Hollywood War Stories, How to Survive in the Trenches, a memoir/advice guide on the film industry.
The film's title is a parody of Die Hard. The film was directed by Rick Friedberg who produced with Doug Draizin and Jeffrey Konvitz . The film was released by Buena Vista Pictures under its Hollywood Pictures banner on May 24, 1996, receiving negative reviews from critics.
Mini Bio. Having directed award-winning TV commercials, music videos and documentaries, Mr. Friedberg turned to feature films and television. After Spy Hard (1996) and several development deals, he has been and is currently directing international TV commercials in France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Australia, Mexico and Venezuela.
