Presidente interino del Consejo de Ministros por unos días tras el asesinato de José Canalejas, volvería a ejercer de jefe de gobierno en cuatro ocasiones: en 1917, entre 1917 y 1918, en 1918 y entre 1922 y 1923.
Manuel García Prieto, 1st Marquis of Alhucemas (5 November 1859 – 8 March 1938) was a Spanish politician who served as prime minister several times in his life and as the 30th Solicitor General of Spain. He was a member of the Liberal Party. During his last term, he was deposed by Miguel Primo de Rivera. Biography
La vida política de Manuel García Prieto comenzó en 1888, y en ella cabe distinguir tres etapas muy diferenciadas: primera, 1888-1905, como de iniciación a la vida política, diputado a Cortes. Segunda, 1905-1906 hasta 1909, ministro de los Gobiernos de Montero Ríos, Moret y López Domínguez.
