Peter Bowman "Bo" Rutledge is the Dean and the Herman E. Talmadge Chair of Law at the University of Georgia School of Law in Athens, Georgia.
A former law clerk at the U.S. Supreme Court for Justice Clarence Thomas and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit for Chief Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson III, Rutledge regularly files briefs and advises lawyers in matters before the Supreme Court and lower courts.

Peter Routledge was appointed Superintendent of Financial Institutions in June 2021, for a seven-year term. He previously served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) beginning in November 2018.
Peter B. "Bo" Rutledge, the holder of the Talmadge Chair of Law, became dean of the University of Georgia School of Law on January 1, 2015. As dean, Rutledge has worked to steer the law school to be one of the best returns on investment in legal education in the country.
