13. Juni 2016 · Rhett. The Boston Terrier became the Boston University mascot on November 15, 1922. The always silent mascot is 6'3" and weighs 200 lbs. His favorite foods include corndogs, hotdogs, chili dogs, and BC Eagles. A national celebrity, Rhett has been seen on ESPN, CBS, CNN, and NESN.

At various times he has been called Kappa, Danny, Danny II (don’t ask), Gulliver, Fumbles—belatedly renamed Touchdown—and Terrier III. It wasn’t until the 1980s that he was nicknamed Rhett.
