3. Sept. 2021 · Vor genau 40 Jahren verstarb Anita Loos. Als allererste angestellte Drehbuchautorin in Hollywood war sie von Anfang an mit dabei. Im Jahr 2020 gab es 26,5 Prozent weibliche Drehbuchautorinnen in Hollywood. Das ist zugegeben weit entfernt von einem ausgeglichenen Verhältnis, aber immerhin eine Verdopplung des weiblichen Anteils seit 2011.

Feb. 2015 · One of the most talented ladies was Anita Loos who, though she was beautiful enough to stand out at the studio with more stars than heaven, was bright enough to shine behind the scenes as a top scriptwriter and studio executive. Miss Loos was discovered by D.W. Griffith and began her career as a title writer.
14. März 2019 · The New York Hat (1912) The first of Anita Loos’s career highlights is The New York Hat, a single-reel drama from 1912: a comic-serious collision of sex, fashion and gossip, and the first of her scenarios to be produced. It’s also one of my favourite movies of all time.
For most of her adult life, Anita Loos rose at five o’clock each morning to write, and her career in films spanned from 1911 to 1942. Because in addition to motion pictures she continued to write plays and novels, references to her abound in a wide variety of literary histories as well as Hollywood biographies.
