My best guess is that somebody recorded parts of it while listening to it. This could be the national Park staff or police for example, who we know for a fact, had access to the tape for investigation and autopsy.
At the end of his 13th summer in the park in 2003, he and his girlfriend Amie Huguenard were killed and eaten by a grizzly bear. Treadwell’s life, work and death were the subject of the 2005 documentary film by Werner Herzog titled Grizzly Man, (see the docudrama video at the end.)

He lived among coastal brown bears ( Ursus arctos horribilis) in Katmai National Park, Alaska, for 13 summers.
