Für die Regieausbildung und als Spielstätte nutzt die Hochschule das Berliner Arbeiter-Theater. Jährlich werden etwa 15 Produktionen aufgeführt. Ungefähr 90 Studenten werden an der Schauspielschule Ernst Busch in Schauspiel, Puppenspiel, Regie, Dramaturgie und Tanz ( Bühnentanz und Choreografie) unterrichtet.

Germany's most prestigious school for stage acting and directing is named after the actor, the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts (Hochschule für Schauspielkunst "Ernst Busch", HFS) in Berlin. Busch was awarded the Lenin Peace Prize for 1970–71.
The Ernst Busch is one of the most renowned universities of the theatre arts in the German-speaking world with an outstanding international reputation. Students and their excellent training are at the centre of the six degree programmes. Most of the lessons are taught in German.
