Das kanadische Schulsystem ist bekannt für sein hohes und anspruchsvolles Bildungsniveau und liegt im internationalen Vergleich auf höchster Qualitätsstufe. Ab dem 6. Lebensjahr besteht in Kanada eine Schulpflicht und die reguläre Schullaufzeit dauert 12 Jahre, außer in Quebec, da dauert sie 11 Jahre.
