John Murphy (born 4 March 1965) is a British film composer. He is a self-taught multi-instrumental musician who began his career in the 1980s, working with The Lotus Eaters, Thomas Lang, and Claudia Brücken. He has collaborated with directors Danny Boyle, Guy Ritchie, Michael Mann, Matthew Vaughn, Stephen Frears, and James Gunn.

28 Days Later: The Soundtrack Album is the accompanying soundtrack album and original score composed by John Murphy, for the 2002 film of the same name. It was released in CD format on the 17 June 2003 additionally including tracks from Brian Eno, Grandaddy and Blue States, which also featured in the film.
Sunshine: Music from the Motion Picture is the soundtrack album for the 2007 Danny Boyle film Sunshine. It is a joint composition by the electronic band Underworld and film score composer John Murphy. [1]
