Kenneth Lee, 이기열 in Hangul, is America’s first Article III judge who was born in the Republic of Korea. He is also the second Korean American to serve on the Ninth Circuit which has chambers in California.
Kenneth Kiyul Lee is a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. He was nominated to the court by President Donald Trump (R) on November 13, 2018, and confirmed by the U.S. Senate on May 15, 2019, by a vote of 52-45.
