Biography. Nicola Piovani was born on May 26, 1946 in Rome, where he has lived and worked ever since. He is a musician (pianist, conductor, composer of film and theatre scores, songs, chamber music and symphonies). He received his piano diploma from the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan.
The original score was composed by Nicola Piovani, with the exception of a classical piece which figures prominently: the "Barcarolle" by Jacques Offenbach.
