Sept. 2022 · The Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions was founded in 1850 by Bishop Angelo Francesco Ramazzotti in Milan, Italy, to support Catholic missionaries going around the world to preach the Gospel. But Italy was on the losing side of World War II, and the people didn’t have the resources to support the missions.
