Caroline Lavinia Harrison (née Scott; October 1, 1832 – October 25, 1892) was an American music teacher and the first lady of the United States from 1889 until her death. She was married to President Benjamin Harrison, and she was the second first lady to die while serving in that role.

Caroline Lavinia Scott Harrison was the wife of President Benjamin Harrison and the first President General of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a music teacher, a painter, a church worker, and a hostess who died of tuberculosis in 1892.
As first lady, Caroline Harrison continued to support philanthropical efforts and lent her support to various women’s causes. In 1890, she became the first president general of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR).
As First Lady, she agreed to serve as head of a national committee that raised a much-needed $500,000 for the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine as long as the institution agreed to admit women.
